Kuraray unveils its new, complete, "Best of Both" range of glass interlayers at glasstec 2014 in Düsseldorf

TROSIFOL and SentryGlas under a single umbrella

Having officially acquired the Glass Laminating Solutions (GLS) of the US Dupont corporation on 1 June of this year, Kuraray Europe GmbH is now presenting, for the first time, its complete product range for glass interlayers at glasstec 2014 in Düsseldorf. SentryGlas, the best-known GLS product, is a key addition to Kuraray's product portfolio.

At its fair stand Kuraray intends to grant pride of place to communication with customers and is therefore dispensing with spacious exhibits. The main focus will be on the basic products of its architectural range, special films like SentryGlas, the Colour product line, Black&White and Sound Control acoustic film, and films for the automotive sector. Bright colours and black & white contrasts will be integrated in a professional ambience at the stand with its a clear-cut, almost Cubist formal language. "It is our aim to use the stand to demonstrate our design expertise, but without overpowering the visitor," Marketing Manager Christoph Troska stresses. "We want it to be inviting and give our employees enough space to hold talks with visitors – most of them customers. Following the purchase of Dupont's GLS activities, the questions and suggestions from our customers at this fair are particularly important."

Even the stand furnishings discreetly feature products of the current range of films. At the counter, various panes of glass have been embellished with films of the Black&White range. Particularly conspicuous is the use of the opaque black film from this range on the large gateway. SentryGlas can be found in the parapet serving as a partition to the gangway that attractively demarcates the Kuraray stand from visitor traffic without obstructing the view of the interior. Visibly contrasting with this are various colours of the Colour range that demonstrate their brilliance on the left gateway.

"Best of Both" is the motto that Kuraray is communicating to customers at the fair. "By this we mean the best of both worlds," says Troska. "We are now in the unique position of being able to offer our customers not only our comprehensive PVB product range, but established ionomer technology as well."

In a letter to employees and customers, Kuraray Managing Director Dr Matthias Gutweiler affirms: "We are convinced that this pooling of resources will enable us to serve our customers even better – with the Best of Both worlds. In the integration process, we wish to closely involve all our customers and employees, and we will take plenty of time for questions at this fair."
