Powder spillage at Kuraray facility in Höchst Industrial Park

 

Hattersheim am Main, October 4, 2016 - At 1.37 a.m. this morning there was a brief spillage of Mowital® powder from the Mowital® facility operated by Kuraray Europe GmbH at Höchst Industrial Park.

Mowital® is a harmless white plastic powder. As a result of the prevailing wind direction, some of this powder settled in the areas of Sindlingen and Hattersheim. The authorities have been notified.

If local residents notice powder deposits, these can be removed by wiping or rinsing with water. Residents whose vehicles are affected may have them washed at either of the following service stations on the Sindlingen roundabout: Esso, Höchster-Farbenstr. 2 or Shell, Höchster-Farbenstr. 5.
