Our new-style workspaces are open
What will tomorrow's workplaces be like? At Kuraray’s European headquarters in Hattersheim, we can already take a look at the creative spaces for tomorrow's ideas because we opened new, multifunctional workspaces with state-of-the-art technology here in September. Although everything still smells fresh and new, it has already become a lively hub for spontaneous communication and networked working. At Kuraray in Europe, we have created spaces that support the dynamic new working practices we intend to establish in our company step by step: from design thinking and Scrum to agile project management.

What is it like to work at Kuraray, the global specialty chemicals company with Japanese roots? To answer this question, some of our colleagues simply picked up their mobile phone camera and take you to their workplaces. After all, who can better communicate the everyday working life at Kuraray than the employees themselves? In their Selfie-Videos they show you typical tasks, chances and challenges. Develop, optimise and implement workflows and processes for the efficient production of raw materials at Industriepark Höchst, handle delivery orders smoothly in Hattersheim, provide additives for film production in Troisdorf in good time: see for yourself what gets our colleagues moving every day - and all they move on their part!
A strong team: KEG at the J.P. Morgan Challenge in Frankfurt
One team - from the chemical compounds on the running shirt to the group spirit on the track: the runners of the KEG at this year's J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Run. In line with the motto " Get there in a team", 43 KEG colleagues together with 62,772 runners from 2,282 companies went on the 5.6 kilometre long route through Frankfurt.
Kuraray gets students in motion
"Future, training, opportunities" is the name of the partnership programme of the Heinrich Böll School with the city of Hattersheim and local companies. Kuraray Europe GmbH has been involved right from the start and supports ninth graders in their professional orientation by holding an annual observation day – and, since very recently, by providing mobility, too.
Optimizing meeting culture ‒ or: when the buzzer hums!
You all know this: one meeting follows another, there are no agendas, or if there are, they are largely being ignored. Chatterboxes go on forever, and results - if any - are not being written down, making learning almost impossible. Rumour has it that two thirds of employees experience the daily routine of company meetings as frustrating, at least occasionally, with devastating consequences. In this way, meetings become a real cost factor and, on top of that, the number one motivation killer.
