MMB-Ac (3-methoxy-3-methyl-1-butyl acetate) is a fine chemical used as a solvent. It is more lipophilic (hydrophobic) than MMB, bringing higher solubility to wax and resins. MMB-Ac is used as a thinner in the paint industry and graffiti removers. Kuraray was the first company to register MMB-Ac under REACH as a new substance in Europe.
