KURALON K-II™ – the high-quality PVOH fibre invented by Kuraray

KURALON K‑II™ is a water‑soluble PVA fibre designed to dissolve at controlled temperatures. It is primarily used as a temporary material in textile and nonwoven manufacturing processes and is typically removed before the final production stage.

In weaving and knitting applications, KURALON K‑II™ functions as a support fibre, stabilizing fabric structures and improving processability during production. Once manufacturing is complete, the fibre is easily removed using water at a defined temperature, leaving the finished fabric intact and undamaged.

KURALON K‑II™ is available in a range of grades with different water‑solubility profiles. This enables manufacturers to select fibres that dissolve quickly, gradually, or only at elevated temperatures, depending on specific process conditions and application requirements.
