PASSION 2026 – a three-pillar plan

Sustainability is firmly anchored in our corporate strategy. We focus on the themes that a global team has identified as essential for the Kuraray Group. By working on these themes, we are also contributing to the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals.

As part of our "PASSION 2026" management plan and its pillars "Planet" and "Product", we aim to reduce our global CO2 emissions to net zero by 2050. An important milestone on this path: reducing emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 30 percent by 2030 in relation to the reference year 2019. We are currently collecting relevant data to formulate corresponding targets for Scope 3 emissions in our value chain. At the same time, we are working on evaluating and significantly increasing our portfolio of innovative, sustainable products. By 2026, we want to generate 60 percent of our sales with products that contribute to environmental protection and improve quality of life. We are using all of our technological expertise and make large investments to achieve our goals. 

Because we understand sustainability holistically, PASSION 2026 has another pillar. Under "People", we summarize all our social and employee-related activities, which are just as important to us as our environmental goals.
