This September, sustainability is the centre of attention at Kuraray Europe GmbH – known as KEG for short. Of course, sustainability is nothing new to us! But from time to time, it is important to focus our attention on this topic, bring together internal and external stakeholders and ignite new enthusiasm. After all, what is more important than sustainability? Our progress in this area will shape the world we and our children live in in the future. It should be a better world – and we want to contribute to that.
A month full of action and initiatives
We have plenty of plans for the weeks ahead: from talks by in-house experts and customer events to raising awareness of how we can act sustainability in our daily lives – and ways to encourage us to do so! External keynote speakers – proven experts in their field – will help us broaden our horizons by giving us insights into the sustainable transformation of industry and society.
And to make sure it doesn’t get too theoretical, there will be plenty of hands-on opportunities as well. For example, our employees can volunteer to take part in the Malteser Social Day. We will also be organizing a charity golf tournament, where the proceeds will be donated to a good cause. We look forward to welcoming many customers and business partners to this year’s tournament. After all, sustainability has social as well as ecological dimensions. We take this responsibility very seriously and put it into practice.
KEG goes blogging
Does the world really need another blog about sustainability? We think so – because we have plenty to say! Throughout our company, there are many great projects and developments that are so interesting we want to share them, discuss them, pass on our knowledge. And of course, we want to learn from others as well.
From now on, we will be publishing regular blogs that present the sustainability initiatives Kuraray Europe is involved in, on its own or with partners. That will help us drive them forward. Join us and take a look behind the scenes: get to know the people at KEG who are working with passion and creativity for tomorrow’s world. We will also be looking at some fundamental issues such as regulation and the wide-ranging aspects of data and their central role in realizing and monitoring sustainability strategies. In any case, we hope for a stimulating dialogue and lots of feedback.
After all, a blog can only be as good as the people who write it! Therefore, a few words about us: We are a small team with varied skills united by a common passion: sustainability. We are looking forward to using this new platform to explore new ways to make our world more sustainable.
Our four-member team – Bettina Plaumann, Carmen Maria Mundt, Franziska Vosen and Christina Sobek – will be channelling our energy into presenting the topics with the help of internal and external experts. We welcome questions and suggestions.
